Salnave’s ships bombard the Hôpital fort at Les Cayes

HOPITAL. Fort situated at the Cayes. It was bombarded on 2 May 1869 by the ships of Salnave, but had the good fortune to repel them.

Rouzier tells this under the entry HOPITAL.
