Salnave’s followers executed at Croix-des-Bouquets
Haitian
During the revolution of the Cacos, in 1869, Elfont committed all kinds of depredations there in the name of President Salnave. On 15 January 1870, at 7 o’clock in the morning, the generals Saint-Lucien Emmanuel, private secretary of Salnave, Alfred Delva, his minister of finance, Errié, Ulysse Obas and Pierre-Paul Saint-Jean, outlawed by decree of 22 December, and arrested with arms in hand in the following of Salnave at the Anses-à-Pître, were executed at the Croix-des-Bouquets by the triumphant revolution.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Croix-des-Bouquets (la).
