Sainte Anne is erected into a parish

Haitian

SAINTE ANNE. Quartier of the Morne à Tuf of Port-au-Prince, erected as a parish on 21 April 1872. A fine parish church is under construction, facing the Marché Debout, on which depended the rural sections of Turgeau, the Morne de l’Hôpital, Martissant, Tort, the Morne à Bateau, the Rivière Froide, Taifer, Prous, the Morne Chandelle, Laval, Bouvier, Berly, Bongars, and Malanga, and the postes militaires of Jean Ciseau, Carrefour, and the Fond Ferrier.
