Rochambeau halts at Barade and Toussaint marches to meet him
Haitian
On 22 February 1802 Rochambeau, marching from Saint-Michel against the Ravine à Couleuvres, halted at Barade, at the entrance of the defile, on the mountain side. Toussaint-Louverture marched to meet him, from the Gonaïves, with 600 men under the orders of Monpoint and Magny.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Barade.
