Rigaud enters and abandons Miragoâne; Faubert spikes the guns and burns the town

Haitian

On 16 May 1800, while Rigaud’s army was retreating on the South, this general only entered Miragoâne, which he abandoned the same day. Colonel Faubert spiked the guns and delivered the town to the flames.

Rouzier tells this under the entry MIRAGOANE.
