President Geffrard visits the Vaudreuil habitation
Haitian
VAUDREUIL. Habitation belonging to Monsieur Henri Etienne, a steam factory, situated in the rural section of the Haut du Cap not far from Vertières, and to which the wounded of the indigène army were carried at the time of the attack on le Cap by Dessalines in 1803. Entrenchments had been set up there. On 10 June 1860 President Geffrard visited this habitation, which then belonged to Monsieur Constant.
Rouzier tells this under the entry VAUDREUIL.
