Port-Républicain army of 3,000 marches on Croix-des-Bouquets
Haitian
On 10 March 1792 the army of Port-Républicain, 3,000 men strong, marched against the Croix-des-Bouquets. Caradeux commanded the national guard, and Praloto the artillery; the company of Africans, in the vanguard, was under the command of Breton de la Villaudry and of an intrepid Black man named Philibert. One column passed by la Coupe (Pétion-ville). Beauvais and Pinchinat evacuated the Croix-des-Bouquets, and withdrew with their artillery to the Mirebalais.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Croix-des-Bouquets (la).
