Poet and psychiatrist Joël Des Rosiers is born at Les Cayes

Joël Des Rosiers was born at Les Cayes on 26 October 1951. He is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst as well as a poet, essayist and writer of short stories, best known for the collection Vetiver. He won the Grand prix Quebecor of the Festival international de la poésie in 2000.
