Pierre-Antoine Paulo, future bishop of Port-de-Paix, is born at Camp-Perrin

Pierre-Antoine Paulo was born at Camp-Perrin on 23 March 1944. At eighteen he left for the novitiate of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Colebrook, New Hampshire, professed his vows on 2 August 1963, and studied philosophy and theology in Rome. He was ordained priest on 20 December 1969 and consecrated bishop on 14 October 2001 as coadjutor of Port-de-Paix. He led that diocese from 1 March 2008 until 14 April 2020. He died on 4 February 2021 after falling on the stairs of the Benedictine monastery guest house at Caries.
