Pierre André recalled to the Senate
Haitian
The same Pierre André was a senator in 1838: accused of having addressed anonymous letters to the President of Haiti, he was expelled from the senate on 4 June 1838; he was recalled on the following 2 September. Godefroy and Rosteau represented the commune of Port-au-Prince in the first Chamber of Communes in 1817. Pierre André had been the president of that Chamber.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PORT-AU PRINCE [le].
