Pétion writes the Senate that the South has submitted after Rigaud’s death

Haitian

It was from the habitation Olivier, near the Bridge of Miragoâne, that Pétion wrote to the Senate on 18 March 1812 to announce to it the submission of the department of the South to the Republic, following the death of General André Rigaud.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PONT de MIRAGOANE [le].
