Pétion leaves the Senate at its seat and goes to take command of the army at the Boucassin for another march on Saint-Marc.
Haitian
Lamarre called loudly for the grand army (2) which occupied the Boucassin. Pétion therefore left the Senate at its seat and went, on 3 September, to take command of that army. As on the last occasions, the object was to carry Saint-Marc in passing, to fall upon the Gonaïves, and by way of Plaisance, le Gros-Morne and le Borgne, to place Christophe’s army between two fires.
