Part of the garrison, fleeing the evacuation, reaches the Benard habitation

Haitian

At the evacuation of this town, on 12 March 1800, a part of the garrison, lost in the woods, reached this habitation, driving before it the armed mountain dwellers. The next day, it had to leave these places to betake itself to Grand-Harpon.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Benard.
