Ogé and Chavannes broken on the wheel
Haitian
On 25 February 1791 Ogé and Chavannes were broken on the wheel on the square of the Cap. The next day Jacques Ogé and twenty-two other companions of Ogé were hanged there for having called to arms and proclaimed the equality of rights of the affranchis.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Cap-haïtien (le).
