Monpoint drives Dugua’s remnants onto Delaunay
Haitian
On 11 March 1802 Monpoint, commanding the 2nd squadron of the honour guard of Toussaint-Louverture, charged with fury the remnants of the Dugua division, which had just been annihilated by Dessalines before the Crête-à-Pierrot, and drove back upon the Delaunay habitation a great number of French grenadiers, all of whom were cut down by sabre blows, while Morisset charged them from the opposite side.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Delaunay.
