Michel Oreste gives up power

Haitian

GONAIVES. In January 1914, General Oreste Zamor was military delegate of the government of Michel Oreste at the Gonaives. Before the fall of Michel Oreste, Zamor was dismissed. Michel Oreste gave up power on 29 January. The revolution of Davilmar Théodore marched on Gonaives. General Codio was commander of the arrondissement of the Gonaives. Around 29 and 30 January the regular troops of the Gonaives were swelled by those of Port de Paix under the orders of Desormes Joazar, by those of Saint Michel de l’Atalaye, of Cerca la Source and of many other places under the orders of Generals Grand Jean, Audat, etc.

Rouzier tells this under the entry GONAIVES.
