Mausoleum of Dessalines is inaugurated

Haitian

The revolution of 10 August 1888, which overthrew Salomon from power, caused this project in part to fail. On 21 September 1892 a mausoleum was inaugurated which President Hippolyte had the generosity to raise over the tomb of the founder of Haitian independence.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Gonaïves (les).
