Bill proposed to make Poste Maillot a military post
Haitian
POSTE MAILLOT. Position situated in the 6th rural section of the Savane Carrée, commune of Gros-Morne, from which it is 5 lieues distant. It is 7 lieues from Port-de-Paix. The Moniteur of 17 September 1892 contains a draft law proposing the elevation of Poste Maillot to a poste militaire. But the Chambers did not pass it, because it entailed an increase in expenditure, the budget presented being in deficit.
Rouzier tells this under the entry POSTE MAILLOT.
