Department of the West. Its commandant attends the mass for Philippe Guerrier.

The superior authority had caused a mass to be celebrated on 15 July in memory of Philippe Guerrier, for the last day of the mourning that had been ordered for the nation. The three secretaries of state who were at the capital, those of War, of Justice and of Finance, as well as the commandant of the department of the West, the Council of State, and the civil and military authorities had attended the ceremony.
