Jérémie, Tiburon. Included in the blockade of the South.

By an order of 8 May 1800 he had declared in a state of blockade all the ports of the department of the South, from Miragoâne and Aquin up to and including the ports of Tiburon and Jérémie, and had invited all French, American, Spanish and other vessels to capture any ship, of whatever nation, entering or leaving those ports; he had promised the privateers the value of their prizes, after due adjudication, and had ordered that ships fleeing the revolt and abandoning the ports held by the rebels should not be molested.
