Port-au-Prince. A conspiracy is discovered; fifteen are shot on 18 February.

A month later another conspiracy, stirred up by the letters of Pinchinat, was discovered at Port-au-Prince. The Republicans were to disarm the garrison of the town and put all the English to death. Governor Horneck handed twenty of the conspirators over to a military commission: fifteen were condemned to death and shot on 18 February. These numerous executions made the men of color of the other districts occupied by the English tremble and kept them in submission.
