La Croix-des-Bouquets. Its planters send a deputation to Port-au-Prince.

On 10 October a deputation of the enslavers of the Croix-des-Bouquets, sent by Hanus de Jumécourt, came to Port-au-Prince to demand the execution of the concordat of 11 September; the deputies could obtain nothing, and were even nearly murdered in the streets. The freedmen, for their part, came into the town in search of provisions; but the agitators drove them out.
