La Croix-des-Bouquets. Concordat of 7 September signed here.

After this battle the men of color withdrew to Trou Caïman. They took up there so respectable a stance that the royalist enslavers of Mirebalais and the Croix-des-Bouquets made with them, on 7 September, a concordat binding the contracting parties to the exact execution of the national decrees sanctioned by the king, without restriction or protest, and binding them equally to the execution of that of 15 May, should it arrive bearing the royal sanction. The concordat was signed at the Croix-des-Bouquets; the enslavers were represented there by Messrs. de Jumécourt, Lespinasse, Drouillard and Tarbé Lamarre; and the men of color by Messrs. Beauvais, Rigaud, Daguin the younger, Barthélemy, Joseph Labastille, Daguin the elder, Pierre Café and Pierre Pellerin.
