Légitime’s troops beat the Nordistes at Delienne and kill their chief Joseph Lapalanche

On 5 January 1889 the Northerners, who held a post there under the orders of Joseph Lapalanche, were defeated and their chief killed by the troops of President Légitime. They took refuge in the bourg of Verrettes.
