Law puts the Argout habitation up for sale
Haitian
Argout (d’). Habitation in the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, commune of the Croix-des-Bouquets. It bears the name of its former owner, the Count d’Argout, governor of Saint-Domingue in 1777. It was put up for sale by the law of 10 March 1814 in order to revive cultivation and increase the number of landowners.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Argout (d’).
