Law puts coffee estates up for sale

Haitian

The habitation Fodoas, situated at Aquin, was put up for sale by the law of the Senate of 7 November 1812 for the creation of a national currency. The coffee plantations of J.-B. Anglade and other habitations situated in other communes were put up for sale by the law of 10 March 1814 in order to revive cultivation and to increase the number of landowners.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Aquin.
