Law founds Pétionville on the Coupe habitation
Haitian
Exposed by day to the action of the west and east winds, it is cooled at night by breezes that bring there all the coolness of the surrounding mountains. Humidity is unknown there. Luxuriant vegetation. The law establishing the foundation of a town on the habitation la Coupe, under the name of Pétionville, bears the date of 22 September 1831.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PETION-VILLE.
