Law detached Saltrou and Grand-Gosier from Jacmel to form a military line

A certain disturbance was brought into the military subdivision of this Department: the communes of Saltrou and Grand-Gosier, actually dependent on the arrondissement of Jacmel, were detached from it to form, by virtue of the law of 14 September 1882, a military line assimilated to the arrondissements of the 4th class.

Rouzier tells this under the entry OUEST ( l’ ).
