Law creates the 33rd line infantry regiment

Haitian

The law of 7 June 1872 raised the military line of the Coteaux to the Anglais to an arrondissement of the 4th class. The 33rd regiment of line infantry was created by the law of 18 September 1874.

Rouzier tells this under the entry COTEAUX.
