Law awards the Kavanack sugar estate to Widow Pélerin as a national gift

Haitian

Mme. Pélerin, widow, mother of General Lamarre, the hero of the Môle St. Nicolas, held on lease from the State the sucrerie Kavanack, situated in the plain of Petit Goave. This habitation was awarded to her as a national gift by the law of 18 August 1814, together with the Corail adjoining it.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PETIT-GOAVE.
