La Branle, Pilate, L’Escalier, Le Mapou and the heights of Le Borgne and Limbé revolt against the French
Haitian
On 2 August 1802, la Branle, Pilate, l’Escalier, le Mapou, and the heights of the Borgne and of the Limbé raised the standard of revolt against the French. Commandant Sylla entrenched himself there; attacked by the French, he repelled them with vigor. General Clausel returned to Plaisance.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Branle (la).
