Killick’s burned body is recovered, and a priest refuses him absolution
Haitian
Two days after he blew up La Crête-à-Pierrot, the mutilated and burned body of Admiral Killick was found, on 8 September 1902. He was given a great funeral. The parish priest of Gonaïves would not grant the absoute: to the Church, what the admiral had done was suicide.
