Justin Lhérisson, who wrote the words of La Dessalinienne, dies at thirty-four

Justin Lhérisson died on 15 November 1907, aged thirty-four. Born in Port-au-Prince on 10 February 1873, he was a lawyer, a journalist and a teacher, and he wrote the words of the national anthem. His novels La Famille des Pititecaille and Zoune Chez sa Ninnaine appeared in 1905 and 1906. He founded the paper Le Soir.
