Iron bridge over the Haut-du-Cap river inaugurated
Haitian
Plaisance is 13 lieues from the Cap, the Trou 7, the Plaine du Nord and the Acul-du-Nord 4, the Petite Anse 3, and Limonade 2. A ferry formerly connected the military post of the Petite Anse, on the river of the Haut-du-Cap, with Cap-haïtien. The government of General Boisrond-Canal had an iron bridge thrown across there, which was inaugurated on 20 June 1877. The government of President Salomon has just bought this bridge from the builders (1887), and the State levies no toll on it.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Cap-haïtien (le).
