Insurrection against the Spanish in the Capotillo mountains

On 16 August 1863 there was in the mountains of Capotillo a formidable insurrection against the Spaniards to whom President Santana had sold the country. The Spaniards evacuated it in July 1865.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Capotillo.
