Haitian
Tomas returned to hurricane strength around 0600 UTC on 5 November 2010, 36 miles west-southwest of Haiti’s western tip, then accelerated northeast between eastern Cuba and western Haiti. The flooding worsened the cholera outbreak already moving through the country. By 8 November about twenty Haitians were dead and more than 30,000 were in shelters.
