Guimbeau assaults Beaugé
Haitian
On 18 March the Black chief Guimbeau, driven from Digneron on the 12th, attacked Beaugé, and would have taken it had the Blacks who were fighting in the ranks of the whites under the orders of Philibert not offered him the most vigorous resistance.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Beaugé.
