Government placed a cannon to dislodge Boyer Bazelais’ insurgents

Haitian

On the day after the insurrection of Boyer Bazelais at Port-au-Prince, on 30 June 1879, the government had 1 cannon placed there to dislodge the insurgents from the lower end of the Rue Pavée, where, hidden in the houses, they were firing on the government soldiers and on passers-by.

Rouzier tells this under the entry MONTALAIS (le).
