Government brought down by the growing insurrection

Haitian

On 7 May 1911, the rebels of 2 February from Ouanaminthe, who had been driven out of that town, reappeared at Maribaroux, Ferrier, Capotille and Grand-Bassin. President Antoine Simon went again to fight them at Fort-Liberté. On 17 July he left that town in haste, defeated by the insurgents. On 2 August following, the government lay prostrate before the growing insurrection.

Rouzier tells this under the entry MARIBAROUX.
