General Salomon aîné takes up arms

At the time of the taking up of arms by General Salomon the elder, on 1 May 1862, that general left Castel père to go to the camp of Carrefour Canon; but, on reaching Ducis and sighting the cavalry of Torbeck, he took the road called Abandonnez-Gérard, from which he returned to Castel père.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Ducis.
