General Moreau interned at Taverne after the Karatas uprising

On 8 October 1806 General Moreau, arrested at the Karatas, during the uprising provoked by the justice of the peace Messeroux, was interned on the habitation Taverne. The insurrection spread throughout the country.

Rouzier tells this under the entry TAVERNE.
