General Momplaisir was repulsed at Mont-Rouis; two lieutenants killed

Haitian

This post was occupied by the Firministes of Saint Marc; on Saturday 11 September 1902, General Horelle Momplaisir, commanding the troops of the provisional government at Williamson, was repulsed from it. His First Lieutenant Horace Molière and Gérard were killed. Three days later, Firmin embarked at the Gonaïves after the surrender of Saint Marc to General Justin Carrié, and the insurrection was over.

Rouzier tells this under the entry MONT-ROUIS.
