General Lacroix stormed the fort of Ouanaminthe and left Vaussier in command
Haitian
In January 1803 the French obtained successes at Ouanaminthe and drove the independent indigènes far back into the interior. On 16 January, after his successes at Laxavon, General Lacroix scaled the fort of Ouanaminthe after having overthrown and dispersed the independents. He left Vaussier in command at Ouanaminthe.
Rouzier tells this under the entry OUANAMINTHE.
