Geffrard captures Anse-à-Veau

On 16 January 1803, Geffrard took Anse-à-Veau from the French: the French garrison was put to the sword almost to a man. Adjutant General Bernard, who commanded there, escaped to Jérémie in a small vessel.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Anse-à-Veau (l’).
