General Cazeau entrenches at Carrefour Canon
Haitian
On 1 May 1862, at the time of Cholette’s taking up of arms, General Cazeau entrenched himself there to resist the government troops. Gilles Azor, finding the position too weak, advised breaking camp and going to occupy the Platons, which would offer them more means of resistance. The conspirators soon returned to Carrefour Canon, where arms and munitions were distributed to them.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Carrefour Canon.
