Cholette’s insurgents occupy and lose Camp Perrin
Haitian
Camp Perrin is also famous for the occupation of it made by the insurgents of Cholette on 1 May 1862. These levied contributions on the population in money and in provisions, and prepared to resist the forces of the government, but they were routed by General Fabre, who commanded the arrondissement of the Cayes. It was there that Thélisma Nicolas, Cyrus Vaval, Pierre Etienne and A. Lindor were taken.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Camp Perrin (le).
