First church of Limonade dedicated to Saint Anne
Haitian
It is one of the first establishments of the plain of the Cap Haïtien. Its first church, built of wood in the bourg, was dedicated to Saint Anne on 26 July 1707 by a masonry construction, 2 lieues from the village. This building, put up on a small scale on the model of the Church of the Cap, was one of the finest of the colony; unfortunately the earthquake of 1842 made of it a heap of ruins.
Rouzier tells this under the entry LIMONADE.
