Fire breaks out on the habitation Lagossette

LAGOSSETTE. Habitation in the commune of the Plaine du Nord. On 14 August 1791 a fire broke out on this habitation. Several hommes de couleur were massacred at the Cap, being accused by the whites of being the authors of the revolt of the enslaved, of whom Boukman, one of them, was the leader.

Rouzier tells this under the entry LAGOSSETTE.
