English squadron appeared and took the Môle

Haitian

The Mole was a rich and populous town: it was one of the 9 ports of the colony open to foreign commerce. The French colonists called on the English to come and take possession of it: on 21 September 1793 the English squadron appeared, and the next day the English flag floated over all the forts.

Rouzier tells this under the entry MOLE SAINT-NICOLAS.
