Earthquake opens mineral springs at La Viajama

Haitian

VIAJAMA (la). Mountain, a spur of Monte Tina with the central Cibao, situated in the environs of Azua. Springs of mineral waters are found there, which flow into the Yaque du Sud, and which gushed forth following the earthquake of 18 October 1751. The Tabarla also takes its source there.

Rouzier tells this under the entry VIAJAMA (la).
